Kirk Minnis is a strategic management executive with broad-based experience in addressing
growth, organizational effectiveness and performance challenges for businesses ranging
from multi-national corporations to start-ups.
In his corporate assignments and consulting engagements, he has worked in consumer,
industrial and commercial business arenas—encompassing both product and service
offerings in each. In addition, Kirk possesses extensive experience in working with
educational institutions and nonprofit organizations to improve their operating
practices and procedures for efficiency gains and operating cost reductions.
Kirk is President of Planning Perspectives, LLC, a Darien, CT-based management consultancy
focused on assisting the management of small to medium-size firms in the development
and implementation of strategic and operating plans and in addressing identified
growth and performance issues. Fact-based and value-oriented, Planning Perspectives
has a reputation for leading clients to creative, yet practical and implementable,
solutions to the various business challenges which they face. In addition, he represents
Expense Reduction Analysts, a global cost containment consultancy, in the Northeast.
During an 18-year corporate career, Kirk held management positions with several
global corporations including GTE, Abbott Labs, PPG Industries and General Electric.
Corporate assignments included leadership roles in human resources, industrial engineering,
logistics, marketing and planning. His last corporate position was Manager, Strategic
Planning for GE’s small appliances and consumer electronics division, also serving
as Chief of Staff to the Division GM.
Kirk holds BA in Labor Studies and Industrial Engineering from Penn State and an
MBA in Physical Distribution and Marketing from Ohio State.
He currently resides in Wilton, CT.
