Don Foscato’s career includes a range of Chief Financial Officer roles, as well
as other C-level operating roles, at large corporate entities and emerging growth
companies, both public and private.
His background covers broad healthcare and business services industries, with expertise
in fund raising, negotiating and integrating acquisitions, IPOs, process improvement,
SEC & regulatory reporting, strategic planning and foreign tax projects.
Currently, Don provides management consulting to companies with financial and operational
issues, primarily start-ups and small ventures. Previously, he was CFO of two private
venture-backed emerging growth companies. One was Heartscape Technologies, Inc.,
which offered a new cardiac diagnostic technology and the second was EyeTel Imaging,
Inc., which offered a retinal imaging diagnostic tool. In both companies, he built
out the financial and operating infrastructures to support a rapid scale-up of their
sales and marketing efforts.
Before moving to his venture-backed roles, Don was CFO of BioScrip, Inc., a public
(NASDAQ) pharmacy benefits management company. Prior to BioScrip, Don spent 12 years
with MetLife in both healthcare-related and corporate finance leadership roles.
Before MetLife, he held both CFO and operating positions in a range of companies,
where his efforts included managing successful IPOs for Century 21 Real Estate Corporation
and a dental services start-up. he started his public accounting career with Price
Waterhouse.
Don holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and
a Master of Business Management from California State University at Dominguez Hills.
He currently resides in New Canaan, CT with his wife.
