Art Blumenthal is a broadly based, multi-talented senior executive with over 25
years of sales, marketing and general management experience. Art has managed global
companies and built consumer and industrial franchises in more than 35 countries
around the world.
For the major portion of his career, Art worked in consumer packaged goods at Chesebrough-Pond’s,
a company that was then cited in In Search of Excellence as one of the seven best
marketing companies in the US. At Chesebrough, Art introduced more than $200 million
of new products including, Vaseline Intensive Care brands, which rapidly became
market leaders.
At RCA’s financial arm, CIT, as Corporate VP Marketing, he managed seven divisional
marketing teams and revolutionized the Home Equity market by centralizing this business,
increasing sales and saving more than $10 million a year in overhead.
As president of SL Waber, a small electronics company, Art’s capability in technology
helped him double revenue to $50 million and triple the profitability of the company.
Art has served on numerous corporate and philanthropic boards including the Columbia
Graduate School of Business Marketing Advisory board and the Executive Advisory
Board of Rutgers University’s School of Business. He was a director of the Perrigo
company, the leading private label health and beauty manufacturer in the United
States. He was also a director of the North American Company for Life and Health
Insurance and the Stamford Symphony.
Art has an MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Columbia University, and
a BS in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where
he also studied core electrical engineering courses.
Art lives in Teaneck, NJ.
